I thought I’d put together a collection of exercises on how I’ll be working up to 10 unassisted pull-ups this month.
Progression #1 - Negatives
The best way that I’ve been taught to do pull-ups are by negatives. Which is jumping up to the bar and then slowly lowering yourself down.
Progression #2 - Supported
At many gyms, there are supported pull-up machines which is a great way to get started. You can also have a friend hold your feet so you can push against their body.
